This is a portion of the engineering and environmental protection marvel known as the Linn Cove Viaduct. It is in the Grandfather Mountain area of Western North Carolina and was the last piece of the Blue Ridge Parkway to be constructed. Completed in 1983, at a cost of almost $10 million, the Linn Cove Viaduct is 1,243 feet long and contains 153 segments weighing 50 tons each. When the Viaduct opened for traffic it completed the Blue Ridge Parkway project that had been ongoing for 48 years.
Lee is a native of and current resident of North Carolina. He's spent his life there caring for and serving others. For well over 30 years he has worked as a law enforcement officer and paramedic, including time as an administrator, educator, and government regulator. He has responded to multiple national disasters and served celebrities, Governors, and Presidents along the way. He is a SAG-AFTRA eligible working film/television actor with dozens of credits in films, shows, commercials, industrials, and theater. Love the Grandfather Mountain name. Modern engineering can become part of the eco system. This proves it, and more of it needs to be built.
