Description
It's a beautiful day in October 2022 here in western, North Carolina and we've hiked up the Rough Ridge Trail off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stopped at a rock on the way up to enjoy the view. We're lucky that it's the day after the predicted peak of color change for the fall and the leaves haven't disappointed us at all. My daughter forgot the rest of us are here and remains on the rock lost in thought, hypnotized by what she sees. She can stay as long as she wants. Finding the end of this trail can wait.
