Artist's Description
I sat down this day with no intention of taking any photos. It was during a year or so that was the most difficult time in my life (so far). I was lost, trying to gather my, thoughts, to just hang on, and ended up snapping this selfie in the process. I'm not a fan of this time of my life, yet I'm a survivor, and for some reason I actually like this photo and find an odd strength in it.
About Lee Darnell
Lee is a native of and current resident of North Carolina. He's spent his life there caring for and serving others. For well over 30 years he has worked as a law enforcement officer and paramedic, including time as an administrator, educator, and government regulator. He has responded to multiple national disasters and served celebrities, Governors, and Presidents along the way. He is a SAG-AFTRA eligible working film/television actor with dozens of credits in films, shows, commercials, industrials, and theater. He says that it is hard work, but using his imagination to become someone else, lost in a different moment in time is an experience of which he simply can't get enough, very similar to his photography work.
