I didn't set out to shoot a selfie this day. I set out to escape. The world, my world at least, seemed to be caving in at a rate far beyond what I could process and I simply couldn't take anymore. I just sat in silence. I sat in thought, deep in thought. I don't know how long I was there to be honest. It was a while. I don't know what all I was thinking about but I was a hot mess. Yes, I was sober. In the process of over thinking, mixed in with under thinking, and spells of staring with no mentatation whatsoever I click on the screen to see just how silly I looked in that hat I had purchased to shoot a film role one time. I decided to take a selfie. Here we are. Out of this moment came a selfie and a decision to move to New Orleans to tackle an amazing adventure. Good move me. Good move. It took a bit but that serious me hardly ever stops smiling now. Cheers.
Lee is a native of and current resident of North Carolina. He's spent his life there caring for and serving others. For well over 30 years he has worked as a law enforcement officer and paramedic, including time as an administrator, educator, and government regulator.
