Thank you for an amazing career as a player and as a coach Sam Mills. They said you were too small and wouldn't make it. Your raw talent and work ethic proved them wrong. Even more impressive for me is the leadership and inspiration you displayed as the most beloved Carolina Panther in our history. You will NEVER be forgotten sir. I had the pleasure of seeing you play live many times and you brought me so much joy. I wish I could have shaken your hand and thanked you in person. So many numbers in sports are known as scared, the number 51 will always be enshrined among the greatest of the greats in my book. Thank you sir. Thank you. Statue of #51 Sam Mills located outside Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers NFL football team, in Charlotte, NC. #51, the first jersey retired for the expansion Carolina Panthers.
Some people who do this call themselves artists. Some use the word photographer. Both labels feel oddly foreign to me though and I don't know if I will ever grow into either. I'm just a fan of life, of people, and of his beautiful world. I enjoy viewing all of the above through my camera lens. Unlike many others who also offer their work for sale, I do this for one reason... simple pleasure. Having the vision of what 'can be' then seeing it through to being a physical image is very rewarding. Yes, it is such a blessing when my work is viewed. If a print or product sells, I am literally in shock and so very grateful. But, if I knew that human eyes would never again see another one of my works, I would be devastated but I wouldn't slow...
